Vintage Royal Copley Spaulding China,
Pink VASE, with pastel Blue floral flowers,  vintage 1940-50's

DESCRIPTION:  This gorgeous floral vase is a real beauty. It has a pale blue floral design and is a great pink, pale blue & tan pottery vase from the very collectible Royal Copley Pottery. It features 3 flowers, two on front and 1 on back, that blend in color from soft blue pastel petals, to a pink center and to a mauve or rose shade as the background. Inside of planter and under the base is white. The flower petals act as stylish handles on each side.

Measures 7" tall x 4" wide [petal to petal]. This size works well as a vase for shorter stemmed flowers. Has the green ROYAL COPLEY and wreath logo stamp on the base. Gorgeous American pottery piece from Royal Copley in Ohio for the flower lover or vintage pottery collector.

OBSERVATIONS:    In EXCELLENT condition with NO cracks or chips anywhere we can see or feel. Has hairline crazing that needs a magnifier to see and a little small heavier crazing on the back side, down at the bottom rim. Excellent exterior finish and would be a Beautiful gift.

COMMENTS:   There are several vases like this one, in darker and or brighter colors, but the softer, subtle pink is harder to find. If you are a Copley collector, this is a nice piece of history. This planter is a perfect size for short stem fresh cut flowers and enjoying them indoors or for a more perminent display of high end artificial flowers of your choice.

Royal Copley china was made by the Spaulding China Company of Sebring, Ohio, from 1939 to 1960. The figural planters and the small figurines, especially those with Art Deco designs, are of great collector interest. The planters and figurines are famous for picturing human, animal faces, and plants. Early in 1941 the partners Morris Feinberg and Irving Miller acquired a defunct plant in Sebring, Ohio to begin their own production of art-ware pottery. For fifteen years, with many changes in the operation, the Spaulding China Company became one of the most significant plants in the production of art-ware pottery.

No chips, dings, scratches on outter surfaces. Design intact. Slight hairline glaze crazing almost unperceptable without a magnifier.
